The only thing is that the band The Who and the use of Jay-Z and Rhianna's song were setup long before we knew that the Saints would be in the Super Bowl, so the show couldn't have been a tribute to the Saints, unless they already knew they would be there, which I believe they did. :)

Thanks for the response.

It looks as though you are implying that the word "Who" was used to often to refer to the "who dat" in Waterboy? The name of the band was called the Who. What it meant to me was that the Louisiana based half time show was simply a metaphor to reckognize the first time appearance of the Saints in their first Superbowl. Nothing is implied by using the band AC/DC in a halftime show either. This was simply unique imo. I really believe whoever wrote the article regarding the Saints win probably had a similar article pre-made for a Colts win. Am I happy the Saints won? No, but it doesn't really matter because both Superbowl QB's are awesome.

Hi Darrell,

Thanks for your response. You have focused on the particulars of the game, which is fair. My suspicions come from the ESPN.com posting that Drew Brees had won the Super Bowl 24 hours before the game had started. Furthermore, did you not find it strange, the continuous use of the word "Who" in multiple songs and with the name of a band? All of that tied into "Who Dat?". It's as if the show producers knew who would win, so they used the word "Who" as much as possible. Thoughts?

I think it's rediculous to speculate that a pro-football game was fixed. I did believe the Saints after their poor performance against the Bucs and Skins (the two worst teams this year) deserved to lose. But to say that the game was fixed is not believeable. I agree with the ref's decision to overrule the 2-point conversion, as it looked like the receiver had possession and was touched before the ball was knocked loose by a defender's leg. It wouldn't have mattered whether or not the 2-point conversion was overruled or not. Darren Sharper and Jonothan Vilma are great defenders and anything can happen on any given Sunday.
The fact that the Vikings and Colts lost due to an interception late in the 4th quarter, is why the Saints won both games, and it's as simple as that.
